Description

 

This US-made isolating trailer wiring harness has components developed specifically for Indian motorcycles to power trailer lights, protect the bike's computer and avoid fault codes. Compatible models include the Roadmaster, Chief, Chieftain, Challenger, etc. 

This kit works with trailers that have separate brake lights and turn signals. 

Beginning in 2019, Indian introduced a revised tail light pattern for some bikes that combined the brake signal with the turns and eliminated the separate brake light. This change affects the type of components needed for your trailer wiring kit. When you choose your kit, tell us the year/model/submodel of your bike.

Based on this information, we’ll send the appropriate set of components which may differ from what is pictured.

    5-Star Harness > 2018 Indian Roadmaster

    Installed on 2018 Indian Roadmaster. In my case, with backrest that includes under seat bracket. All modules and harnesses still fit, tight but they fit. The output to the trailer connector is open ended as it should be. As I always do, I twisted, soldered and heat-shrinked all connections. My Roadmaster has a trunk so I routed the trailer harness along the trunks lighting harness coiling it and Velcro'd under the trunk when not in use. I can simply y drop it down to the trailer tongue area when needed. This method helps avoid road debris and exhaust heat from the trailer harness and connection. Good instructions, nice YouTube video instructions too, everything worked as advertised, no alarms and no issues.

    5 wire trailer wiring harness

    I tried a competitor's product, would not work at all. Attempted to contact them 3 times by e-mail, no response. Finally called, they did not have a technical support person. Dale answered all my questions, shipped the product immediately, I wired it in the day I received it, worked perfectly. I have not had a chance to test it for longevity, but am extremely pleased with the purchase at this time.
