K1600 GT and GTL Hitch | All Years | DMC

Hitch build is good quality, but there were a few details that left me wanting First thing of note, the anti-vibration lockdown bolt between the hitch receiver and the adjustable hitch only works if the receiver is in the middle or high position, if you lower it to the low position then the top of the hitch shaft does not reach up to the bolt. I was a little surprised with the bolt size that attaches the reinforcing braces to the hitch as they were a half inch too long, this seemed like an oversight when the rest of the hardware seem to be very on point. In the category of hardware length, they give you longer 140mm bolts to mount the hitch to your exhaust brackets to allow for the thickness of the hitch, but for those of us that have already mounted crash bars we are already using 140mm bolts and the new 140mm bolts obviously won't do with any good.. I am fortunate to live where stainless steel hardware is readily available, but that might not be the case for many people. As the crash bars seem to be a pretty common accessory on these bikes it wouldn't hurt for the included bolts to be 160 mm so everybody is covered. This is a situation where somebody's boat being a little too long is impossible to see and not of great concern. Lost item, it's surprising that there's absolutely no provision for the attachment of the trailer electrical hardware. I was able to fabricate something that works great for me, but I am aware that not everyone has fabrication abilities which might leave one simply zip tying the electrical cord to the side of the hitch which leaves a lot to be desired given these motorcycles are extremely beautiful and don't need to be rednecked... I feel it is a great product that is well designed, I love that it is concealed and still allows the tire to come on and off easily. There's a few Minor details that are keeping it from being a five-star product, but it's close! YMMV

Hex ezcam is great easy to hook up. No problems. Trailer hitch different story. Trailer hitch came with no loops to hook up your chains from the trailer . Not the same as in picture. No template to cut out the plastic for mounting. No pin for the bolt that goes into hitch. Had to go to metal shop to get two hooks put on the hitch. Talk to them they said to send it back . I live in Canada I would have to pay another 170 dollars duty plus shipping. And wait another month was not worth it. I should have went to USA hitch. ------------------------------ -Dale’s reponse: It is unfortunate the safety chain loops were not on the hitch, I agree. However if I’d been given the chance I would have done an exchange which would have cost the customer nothing and would have taken about a week. The manufacturer would have sent out the replacement with a return label. As for the missing template, I could have also sent that but was not asked.

Everything fit as expected but I had to file the extra paint off the internal receiver and the shaft so they would fit, chrome would have been better on the shaft. There was no flange for the electrical socket.

Nice product and easy to install

Easy to connect to a 5 wire trailer plug. No information about the common or ground wires (4 into 1 / only 1 is needed?) Please make this clearer in instructions. Thank you.

Perfect fit., the hardest part of install was removal of plastic. The instructions were complete and accurate. Thank you.
