Description

This US-made trailer wiring kit powers the lights on a trailer while protecting your bike's wiring system and, on newer bikes, the engine control module. This trailer wiring kit fits Harley touring bikes from 2014 to present including the Electra Glide, Road Glide, Road King, Street Glide and Tri-Glide.

Important fitment notes:

1) If you have a 2014+ Harley touring bike with a pair of AMBER turn signals on the rear fender, you want our CVO kit.

2) If you have a 2023+ bike without a TourPak, let us know so we can supply the proper 12 pin plug-in connection.

Choose either the 4-wire or 5-wire kit, depending on how your trailer lights are configured. If you aren't sure which you need, check out this video that explains the differences between the two systems.

    Harley Trailer Wiring 2014+

I purchased this wiring harness for my 2016 Ultra Limited. The plug and play is worth it. You still need to buy and splice final connections to an extended flat wire plug for your trailer. Confirm wiring with a tester before final spicing per instructions. It wasn't color for color. Routing and hiding the wiring takes some doing. I notched part of my seat underneath so the wiring wouldn't get pinched between the seat and top of fender. Very satisfied.

    Trailer hitch harness

Dale and openroad outfitters are the quintessential purveyor of motorcycle accessories. Done business several time with him and he remains at the top of my list of go to's. He is very quick to address any questions or concerns his customers have... and I have only had one. He got my email on Saturday and by Sunday had resolved my issue.... you don't get that service much anymore but Dale is just that type of person.... thanks Dale.

    Wiring Harness review

A little intimidating when you first open the package, but the directions are Clear and concise. Read them two or three times before you do anything. Very simple plug and play connections. My only comment is I wish I had not plugged in the connector between the isolator and sub harness before locating the wiring. I could not uncouple this, but it worked out ok. I would check the wires from the isolator to the trailer before hooking them up to be sure. But a great system, very easy to install.

    Install on 2018 Ultra Limited

This harness works flawlessly and the install was so easy! I was a little little leery of doing it myself since I’m not the best mechanic….especially with electrical items, but it really is a plug and play installation. I even have saddle bag lights and a flasher module for the brake lights installed and it still was a snap and the best part is it all works as it should. I watched the YouTube videos a couple times and followed the instructions, even texted Dale and he made sure I got the right parts. Don’t be intimidated…you can do it too!

5 wire harness for 20018 Road Glide Ultra

Everything worked great, my only complaint would be that the wires going to the trailer are color coded different than almost any trailer I have ever worked on, but the directions were well done so that was just a minor issue. I did keep a copy of your wiring code in the bike just in case I ever had to reference you color codes.
