Escapade Excel (2012+ Gold Wing)

The Escapade Excel cargo trailer continues in the tradition of Escapade trailers designed to complement the style of the legendary Honda Gold Wing.

All Escapade trailers share features that make them favored by so many riders.

Like its siblings the SE and Elite, the Excel is built over a unique integrated chassis design. The trailer body and frame are molded together for lower center of gravity, increased rigidity and smoother airflow.

The Excel features a revamped opening that is wider and longer. That makes it easier than ever to get access to your cargo. The Excel can handle a LOT of gear. It's generous 28 cubic feet of cargo space will swallow two sets of golf clubs with tons of room to spare!

Shocks designed by Progressive suspension—a special damping cartridge offers superior damping, even when the trailer is towed empty. And unlike some high-performance trailers, you don't need to constantly adjust the air pressure settings. Set it and forget it.

The Excel features a new Anti-Roll Suspension System. This ARS allows full independent suspension movement while keeping the trailer flat and stable for better handling and less lean in tight corners along with better tracking behind the motorcycle.

Larger than average wheels—increased width makes more contact with the road and larger wheel diameter creates larger gyroscopic effect which help eliminate swaying tendencies. Tires are also standard size 4.80 x 12" wheels that can be easily replaced.

Escapade trailer bodies are hand-made and custom finished at the factory. Each trailer body is painted with top-of-the-line urethane paints and clear coats with a 2-3 part paint process and 3 clear coats. For GL-1800 colors, Escapade uses the exact same paints and clears supplied to Honda.

All Escapade trailers exceed the lighting requirements set by the U.S. Dept of Transportation. All lighting is connected to the bike's power supply. An optional spoiler with integrated brake light offers even greater visibility.
